Strep Throat Remedy for the Prevention and Treatment of Strep Throat

The recipe works. It fights any infection bacterial, viral, or fungal:


½ c. BRAGG Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother

1/4 c. honey, add more to taste

¼ c. fresh-squeezed lemon juice

½ - 1 tsp cayenne pepper powder, more is better

1 fresh garlic clove, minced

½ tsp ginger powder, or fresh ginger root minced (optional)

2 c. cold water


Mix in a glass 32oz quart jar. Do not double recipe in the jar. Refrigerate. 


IMMEDIATE ACTION - At first sign of sore or itchy throat:

  1. Drink 8-12 oz water, to boost the immune system by staying hydrated 

  2. Shake or stir concoction

  3. Gargle 2-3 tsp for 30 sec then swallow

  4. Gargle a 2nd 2-3 tsp for 30 sec then swallow.  

  5. Wait 10 minutes before eating or drinking to allow the cayenne/ACV to sit on the tonsils and back of the throat

Depending on the severity of symptoms, Repeat every 30-60 min during the day and, if up at night, gargle in the middle of the night for the first 24-48 hours of the sore or itchy throat


To prevent the recurrence of sore throat, Gargle 2-4x/day for the next 10 days (instructions are similar to taking a prescription of antibiotics - 2x/day for 10 days - but without the visit and payment to the doctor and without the terrible side effects of systemic antibiotics )



PREVENTION ACTION - There is also the option of taking this concoction regularly on an empty stomach 1-2x/day to increase the pH of the blood which aids digestion, strengthens the immune system, and fights any infection bacterial, viral, or fungal:
  1. Drink 8-12 oz water

  2. Shake concoction

  3. Gargle a Tbsp for 30 sec then swallow

  4. Gargle a 2nd Tbsp for 30 sec then swallow.  

  5. Wait 10 minutes before eating or drinking.

  6. Repeat 1-4 times a day 


My husband and I have 10 kids at home right now.  2 of them are toddlers and 8 of them attend public school. There is a wide range of sicknesses shared in our household. I have been a dental hygienist for 20 years. I can't work in people's mouths sniffling and coughing.

Eat fresh onion and fresh garlic everyday (fresh homemade salsa is a good start :)


Fresh Garlic Remedy:

Fresh Garlic is a powerful antivital, antibacterial, anti fungal. Chop a fresh garlic clove with a knife (dont use a press), put it on a spoon, let it sit on the spoon for 10 min for allicin to form. Swallow it like a pill with 8-10 oz water. Just swallow, Do not chew. Eat a slice of orange after to cleanse the palate. Take a zinc supplement daily to strengthen the effects of the allicin. Do this 2-5x a day til the cold virus subsides. 


Avoid sugar and gluten for as long as you want to strengthen the  immune system
